Experience

 

        Surfacing Artist, DreamWorks PDI, July 2010—2015

                        Madagascar 3 — Surfaced entire environments such as the  weathered circus train, casino roof and casino attic. Collaborated on the

                                                       generic character's skin and groomed childA hairstyles. Fully surfaced the American Promoter and Eagle. Was the last

                                                       surfacer on the show to handle all lighting shot support.

                        How to Train Your Dragon 2 — Developed generic dragon surfacing networks and surfaced over 30 dragons including Cloudjumper.

                                                       Collaborated closely with shader writers to use and test texture synthesis. Also worked with cfx to implement a new 

                                                       scale system. Oversaw many ice environments from initial surfacing to shots.

                        iGO — Worked with next gen proprietary software and light stage data to surface a photo real digital double of a model and coat for a

                                                       potential advertising client.

 

        3D Artist Level 3, Center for Teaching and Learning, June 2008—2010

                        Led final lighting, rendering and compositing for cellular biology animations, 3D interactive biology labs with a small team.

 

        Lighting Intern, Pixar, June 2009—August 2009

                        Developed lighting skill set with proprietary software leading up to production work on a Toy Story 3 commercial.
